I am currently serving as the Youth Pastor and Music Minister. Moving to Stanton was not something that I had on my bucket list of things I can’t wait to do! However, it has been one of the best decision I have ever made!

Being completely honest, I wasn’t sure how I was going to fit in here. I mean, I’m 35 (at that time) and surrounded by people that are way more “seasoned” than I am! And to top that off, I’m black...I know it’s a shocker! I clap on 2 and 4 and they clap on 1 and 3! But being here, God has changed my perspective in ways I never thought could happen. I have been shaken to my core. I have learned that I had a bit of racism within me that I was never aware of. I saw color and let it affect my view of God. There were times that I wanted to throw in the towel and go back to what was familiar. I wanted to go “home”, I wanted to be back where I was comfortable. But I can say with certainty that making the decision to stay here has blessed me tremendously! I have 3 boys and we have ALL been accepted for who we are, we have not been judged, but we have been shown love in ways that cannot even be explained!

Staying here, I left what was comfortable and what I knew and came to the “valley.” But God has taken that valley and somehow turned it into the mountain top!

I am a blessed man! And I am blessed to call FBC Stanton home.

What We Believe

The Greatest Commandment is Love

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.” Matthew 22: 37-40

The Great Commission

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

The Bible

The Bible is the inerrent Word of God.
